Job Summary:
This position is responsible for assisting in the development and coordination of activity programs for healthcare that reflect the varied interests of the residents and provides them with meaningful and life-enriching activities. Serves as an active participant in the household model for Healthcare.

Essential Job Functions:
Takes primary responsibility for planning and carrying out activities for residents in Healthcare including leading large and small group activities, special events, and one-to-one visits.
Participates in planning monthly activity calendar for Healthcare and typing the monthly calendar.
Works with other Life Enrichment Assistants and household team to develop new programs that may interest residents.
Assist with serving meals as needed.
Escorts residents in wheelchairs to and from activities and occasionally escorts family members or friends living in another household to visit residents in the household.
Chart resident activity participation and one-to-one activities on a daily basis.
Completes MDS interviews, initial activity assessments, care plans, and progress notes in a timely manner.
Attends and participates in interdisciplinary care plan meetings for Healthcare residents.
Works alongside and directs volunteers assigned to the Life Enrichment Department.
Responds to call bells and supports the residents within their scope of practice.
Communicate with the Director of Life Enrichment to report on the status of job responsibilities and report any issues that arise.

Demonstrate understanding of the Code of Conduct and abide by guidelines.
Attend in-services and team meetings as required for the role.
