Help Support Calvary Homes
Since our founding, Calvary Homes has embraced the obligation to serve older adults, and particularly those having served the Lord through various mission, pastoral and vocational roles. Our ability to provide services to all residents regardless of their future inability to pay the full cost of their services is directly proportional to the tithes and gifts we receive. This benevolent care typically reaches beyond $520,000 annually!
Learn how you can partner with us to continue our faithful services to these servants of Christ.
You are invited to join us for a warm evening of praise with special music, personal testimonies, prayer, and encouragement from God’s Word and concluding with fellowship and refreshments.
No registration is needed and no offering will be collected. We intend this event to direct our focus upon God’s working in and through individual’s lives and the ministry of Calvary Homes during 2017. An open time for voluntary personal testimony of God’s working in your life will be included. Together, let us prepare our hearts and minds for the Thanksgiving holiday by acknowledging the blessings God has brought our way.
Calvary Homes is participating in the Extra Ordinary Give and will combine giving made on this day, November 17, 2017, with our Annual Calendar Year-End Appeal in support of the Benevolent Fund. This fiscal year we expect to provide $520,000 in benevolent care and gifts to the Benevolent Fund help us to meet this important need. Several things you will want to know about the Extra Ordinary Give are:
- Gifts for the Extra Ordinary Give must be made on-line and only on Nov. 17th. If you desire help with this simple process, please visit the Development Office and Dan Snyder can assist you in completing the process. Your credit card will be needed to make a gift.
- Each gift made through the Extra Ordinary Give are reduced by 4.99% to cover the required fees. However, in past years, the “Stretch Gift” we received by Lancaster County Community Foundation after the event was enough to compensate us for this fee.

Fitness for Life Campaign!
We are pleased to announce we have reached our first priority goal of $5,500 in gifts to purchase a Nu-Step recumbent exercise machine for our Exercise Room! We are equally pleased with the abundant words of appreciation and satisfaction received from many residents now using the Nu-Step on a regular basis. Your gifts have helped bring this important improvement for residents to maintain healthy lives and continued independence. Thank you very much!
Know, however, that the Fitness for Life Campaign does not stop here! We have plans for additional upgrades to our wellness facilities with additional equipment well-suited for the needs of older adults. Our next goal will be the purchase of a reconditioned Precor elliptical machine and an Octane recumbent stepping machine. Both pieces of equipment will enhance the workout possible for users of our Exercise Room and together will cost only $2,500! We encourage your gift today for the Fitness for Life Campaign to be applied for these improvements. You may download the Gift Form to print out a hard copy and mail with your cash or check to the address on the form.
To-date we have received $225.00.
Giving to benevolent care is an important way to broadly impact the lives of older adults. With increasing life spans, complex medical needs, and dementia care, an increasing number of seniors outlive their resources that once provided for their own care needs. Gifts for benevolent care provide resources enabling Calvary Homes to continue the same quality of care and daily assistance should a resident’s own resources become inadequate to cover the full cost of care.
For those preferring consistent giving, the Calvary Caring Club is an easy way to remember regular giving. We can include an envelope with the acknowledgment of your initial gift, as your reminder for the next gift date of your choosing. Alternatively, we can set up a secure automatic withdrawal from your bank account on the frequency you select or submit your gift as a recurring charge to your credit card or, if you prefer, we can arrange regular periodic giving by electronic funds transfer (EFT) by clicking the button below:
